Hi from Takayama

I'm Sanae. I have lived in Takayama for 4 and a half years starting Oct. 2014 till March 2019. I enjoyed living in such a beautiful city surrounded by mountains. Here is a blog that shares the happy times I had in Takayama.

My new place is Anjo, Aichi, but I'm too much in love with Takayama, I will continue adding some more infos about Takayama, plus I will be adding some updates about my new place as well.

Also, my life has been about "moving" everywhere!! Believe it or not, this was my 14th time to move and I thought there are a lot to share about my "moving life." There are some special things that I see and experience by living in different cities not just in Japan but in other countries as well!!

Cheers to new findings!!

朝市でモーニング breakfast at the Morning Market

Yesterday, I took a stroll with my friend to the Morning Market
and for the first time, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast at a local
coffee shop located right along the Morning Market!!

The coffee shop is called "Kajibashi Coffee."

I go to the market at least once a week (sometimes more),
and I've passed this place so many times,
but it was my very first time to enter.

The building looks rather old.
There's a sign in front of the stairs in English saying
"Breakfast service until noon 450 yen."

450 yen and you get
a cup of coffee
salad
fruit
toast cut in four with apple jam and blueberry jam

The coffee shop itself is not fancy or anything,
it's just an old style shop;
however, what I love the most about this place is its location!!

There are seats by the window,
and you will be able to view the market from above,
plus the beautiful Miyagawa (river).
Since it rained a lot on the previous day,
the river was murky but who cares,
the view was wonderful anyways.

Take a stroll along the beautiful river
buy some locally grown, fresh veggies
and take a break at the "Kajibashi coffee"
you definitely shouldn't miss these when you visit Takayama!!

「Breakfast 450 yen」

    1. Hi Tomo!! There were times I spent every morning at a coffee shop, too!! I understand exactly what you mean. I enjoy the good conversations with my friends over a cup of coffee as well as spending the time all by myself, reading, studying, or just daydreaming ^^. Hope you find a good one over there, or you're always welcome here!! There are good coffee shops everywhere!!
