Hi from Takayama

I'm Sanae. I have lived in Takayama for 4 and a half years starting Oct. 2014 till March 2019. I enjoyed living in such a beautiful city surrounded by mountains. Here is a blog that shares the happy times I had in Takayama.

My new place is Anjo, Aichi, but I'm too much in love with Takayama, I will continue adding some more infos about Takayama, plus I will be adding some updates about my new place as well.

Also, my life has been about "moving" everywhere!! Believe it or not, this was my 14th time to move and I thought there are a lot to share about my "moving life." There are some special things that I see and experience by living in different cities not just in Japan but in other countries as well!!

さなえです。２０１４年１０月～２０１９年３月まで岐阜県高山市で過ごしました。山に囲まれた美しいこの町が大好きです。

実はすでに高山を出てしまいました。が、この先も時々高山インフォメーションをアップしつつ、近辺（愛知）の様子もお伝えしていこうと思います。

そうそう、それと
何を隠そう、今回の引越は人生で１４度目の引越！あちこちと動き回ったものです。遠距離への引越はもちろん、同じ市内の引越であっても、違う角度から見る空は、全然違っていて、人生をがらっと変えてしまうことすらあります。「当たり前」の明日が来ない生活、大変なことも多いけど、学ぶこともたくさん！そんな「引っ越しあるある」も時々シェアしていきますね。

10,000歩ぶらぶら雪道散歩 10,000 steps snowy ramble

The only place I had to go this morning was to the city hall.

SO,
I decided to ramble around a bit to enjoy the icy air and some wintry view.

So white
So beautiful

Don't you just love the snow flowers blooming on trees?

Do you see how the roped trees are holding snow perfectly as they're supposed to?

Do you see how thick the snow has accumulated on top of the roofs?

Don't you think the snow hat on the post box is just sooo cute?

Don't you just want to dive into the snowy rice field?

Walking around aimlessly
just watching these marvelous snow art
had made me walk 10,000 steps without even realizing, yay!!

今朝の用事は市役所へ行くことだけでした。

なので
冷たい空気と冬の景色を楽しむべく
ぶらぶら散歩へ出かけました。

なんて真っ白
なんて美しい

枝に咲いた雪の花が綺麗でしょう。

雪吊りがばっちり役割を果たしているでしょう。

屋根の上の雪の厚みがすごいでしょう。

ポストの雪帽子がかわいいでしょう。

田んぼに積もった真っ白な雪に飛び込みたくなるでしょう。

目的もなく
ただひたすら雪が生み出した美しいアートを眺めていたら
気が付けば10,000歩も歩いていました。やった！！

    Hi Sanae!
    The snow looks so beautiful in Takayama. Nice pictures! I like the way that you write about snow in such a pleasant tone. Lots of people can see snow as a nuisance, but it can also be fun and creates beautiful scenes where it falls.

      Hi Ben!
      We really wanted to show you these snowy Takayama!! It's a pity we, adults, have to worry about going to work, and kids have to study on such beautiful day. We, humans, probably should have a system to force ourselves to let go of whatever we're supposed to be doing and enjoy the art that nature creates every once in a while!!
