We found a funny, eye-catching sign board near our place.
It looks like our son's drawing : )
But it's actually an "official" sign of a "udon restaurant."
"Arai Kohei Udon"
I really wonder who drew the sign!!
The time was 10:30 am, but to our surprise,
many people were going into the restaurant and
we just couldn't resist following them.
As soon as we entered the restaurant,
we were to purchase udon tickets.
We had to choose the "amount"of udon,
and whether we wanted a boiled egg and/or a tempura for the toppings.
My husband chose an extra large udon
(three times the amount of a regular udon)
with both an egg and a tempura
which was 560 yen, only!!
We found out later that the restaurant actually opens at 7 am!!
Next time we should try "early morning udon" for sure.

目を引くおもしろい看板を発見！！
まるで息子が描いた絵のよう 笑。
この看板、うどん屋さんの看板なんです。
新井こう平うどん
一体誰が描いたのでしょう。
時間は朝の１０時半、
それなのに吸い込まれるように
何人もの人がうどん屋さんに入っていきます。
なんだかついて行かずにはいられなかった私たち。
入口を入るとすぐに券売機があり、
うどんのサイズ（１玉、１.５玉、２玉、３玉、４玉、５玉）
トッピングの有無（ゆで卵、天ぷら）を選びます。
旦那さんは３玉（天ぷらとゆで卵付き）を選びましたが
なんと値段は560円！！
新井こう平うどん店、
実は朝の７時から営業しているそうです。
次回は「モーニングうどん」をしなくちゃ。
