Many national holidays are concentrated in a week startingthe end of April till the beginning of May.
By adding paid holidays and weekends,
it becomes 9 or 10 days off days in a role.
So it's traveling time for us Japanese,
and people are driving out of the big cities to visit their hometowns.
Since Takayama is a tourist spot,
we find many non-local cars during the holidays.
Last weekend my sister and her family visited us.
We were afraid the BBQ place might be full because
it's the Golden Week but guess what?
We were the only one there!!
Of course, there were people enjoying the park,
but we were able to use the BBQ place privately
as though the place was our own garden!!
This is what I love about Takayama.
There are always chances to escape from the crowd
and spend a peaceful time even in the busiest time of the year, yay.
ゴールデンウィーク真っ只中！
高山は観光地なので、
普段は無縁の「渋滞」があったり、
（渋滞と言っても、ぷち渋滞程度ですが、、、）
街は観光客でにぎわっています。
週末に、妹家族が遊びに来てくれました。
さすがにゴールデンウィークだし、
お気に入りのＢＢＱスポットも、場所が取れないかも、
と心配したのですが、
なんと、私たちのグループのみ。
もちろん、公園には人がたくさんいました。
しかし、ＢＢＱ場は貸し切り！！
観光客で混雑する場所もありながら、
静かでゆったりできる空間があちこちにある、
そんな高山暮らしがやめられません～。
