Here is what we looove about our new environment.

There are so many beautiful parks to enjoy
around our new place in Anjo City.
Each is not that big, but they are all so close by
and we are so thankful that we can visit these parks
every single day.

Do you remember early in 2016
I was talking about visiting the Mayor of Takayama
to tell him that we need more parks in Takayama?

my previous post about visiting the mayor

I mentioned that he listened carefully to what I said,
he really did pay attention
but my wish never came true in the past 3 years.

We did find places here and there, although not satisfied enough,
to enjoy picnics, to run around, to spend out in the sun
while we were in Takayama
but always thought we need more.

Having plenty of parks around is one of the aspects that made
the kids easy to make friends.
It will take quite a while for any children to visit his/her friends' house.
It's much, much easier to meet up at parks.
You can visit the park anytime you want
You can leave whatever time you wish.
You can just be there whenever you feel like it.
You may find your classmate.
You may find big guys.
You can play with younger kids.
You can meet adults.
You will find cute pets.
You don't have to bring anything.
You can play on the field.
You can swing.
You can slide.
You can make noise.
You can communicate!!

Park is a must.
Park is something we got to have every day.
Park is a place you play in.
Park is a place you meet.
Park is a place you get tired.
Park is a place you relax.
Park is a place you learn.

Even though we have left Takayama already.
We love the place too much!!
And we still wish there were more parks there,
tiny ones and huge ones!!

Trust me,
I am going to challenge the mayor again
even if I'm not a citizen anymore : )

It's my hope and it's my dream
for Takayama to have plenty of places to run around
for the kids to spend healthy lives physically and mentally!!

私たちの新しい環境でとても気に入っているところ
それは、近所に公園がたくさんあることです。

遠方から足を運ぶほどの公園ではありませんが
十分過ぎる広さと、十分過ぎる設備が整った
素敵な公園がたくさんあるのです。

以前、「高山の中心地に公園が少ない！！！」
とブログに載せたことがあります。

市長を訪ねた記事

市長は、話を親身に聞いてくださいましたが、
結局滞在期間中、新しく公園ができることはありませんでした。

子供がぱっと行ける身近な公園
そして、家族で一日過ごす公園
どちらも必要です！！！

公園と名の付く場所には出かけ
ピクニックをしたり、走り回ったり、
太陽の下で過ごす時間を一生懸命つくりました。
でも、まだ足りません！！

この新しい土地に子供たちが、すんなりと溶け込むことができたのは
公園のお陰と言っても過言ではありません。
家を行き来するほどの仲になるには、多少時間がかかります。
でも、公園があれば話は違います。
好きな時間に訪れればいい
用事があったら先に帰ればいい
気が向いた時に行けばいい
クラスメイトがいるかもしれない
年上の子と遊べるかもしれない
小さな子もいるかもしれない
大人も散歩している
ペットだっている
手ぶらでいけばいい
ブランコがある
すべり台がある
大きな声を出したってかまわない
何よりも人と接することができるのです。

公園は絶対に必要！！
公園て、毎日必要
公園は遊ぶ場所
公園は出会う場所
公園で疲れるほど遊ぶのは最高
公園はリラックスする場所
公園は学ぶ場所

高山のことが大好き
大自然があって、人々が温かい高山に焼きもちすら焼きます。
でもひとつ！！！
公園がもっと欲しい。

そうです。私たち、もう高山を離れています。
でも、再度チャレンジしたいなぁ。（めざせ市長室！？）
子供たちの心身の健康のために
やはり公園は必要不可欠なので！！

広く青い空の下で under the big blue sky

A friend came over!!
It was such a beautiful day
so we just picked up our tiny tent and
had a picnic at the sky park.

Kids had the loveliest time
doing jump ropes under the big blue sky.

子供の友達が遊びに来てくれました。
あまりにも天気が良かったので
慌てて準備をして
スカイパークへ行ってきました。

どこまでも広く青い空の下でする縄跳び、
なんとも贅沢ですよね。

青く
美しい空へ
高く
高く
高く
のぼっていきました。

桜ヶ池公園 Sakuragaike Park

We found another nice park
that we can visit on the way to Toyama.

Last week, we went again to watch a movie in Toyama
and we decided to visit this nice park on our way.

The fresh green season is starting
and it's so nice to spend the daytime at a park.

By the way,
the hay fever season is finally ending over here.

富山へ行く途中の位置にある
素敵な場所「桜ヶ池公園」を見つけました。

先週またまた映画を観るために富山まで足を延ばしたので
寄ってみましたよ。

緑の美しい季節がスタートしました。
この時期、公園で過ごすひとときが大好きです。

ところで、こちら
やっと花粉シーズンが終わるところです。　涙。

最近のスカイパーク sky park today

The photos were taken last weekend (5 days ago).

On a soil ground and on places where sun light does not reach,
there still remains layers of snow.

The daylight has obviously become warmer,
but yet, there still remains layers of snow.

A fun climb to the sky park,
it's a tough, slippery slope.

先週末に撮った写真たちです。

土の上や日陰はまだまだ雪だらけです。

日差しは明らかに暖かくなっています。
それでもまだまだ雪だらけ。

スカイパークへ続く坂道は
まだまだハードなつるつる道。

公園を求めて in search for a place to run around

Kids wanted to run, not slide.
My son wanted to play baseball, instead of a snowball fight.

We had to travel all the way to Toyama prefecture
located along the Japan Sea.

We were surprised to see how snowless the park was.

Yay, we could run around!
Yay, we could play balls.

Sure, we went to a sushi restaurant!!

Sure, we bought firefly squid to bring back home!!

子供たち、久々に「滑る」ではなく走りたかったんです。
息子は雪合戦ではなく、野球がしたかったんです。

うーーーーん、
富山まで行くしかないな。

「北陸」イコール冬が厳しい、雪もたくさん、なイメージですが
高山より断然雪が少ないんです。
公園には全く雪はありませんでした。

やった、走れる！
やった、キャッチボールできる！

もちろん、お寿司を食べてきましたよ。

もちろん、お土産のホタルイカも忘れませんでしたよ。
（新鮮ホタルイカ、２パックで300円！！）

雪を楽しめ！ enjoy snow!

Living in a snowy environment,
we should enjoy its fullest!!

Not just kids,
adults did too!!

せっかく雪国に住んでいるのですから
精一杯雪まみれになりましょう。

子供だけじゃないですよ！
大人も！！

野生きのこコレクション collection of wild mushrooms

We went to a ski run about an hour away from our home.
This place is open during summer till autumn for other activities.

There are a lot I want to mention about this place
as well as there are a lot of photos I want to share,
but today, I am posting the photos of the various mushrooms
that I found there!!

Don't ask whether they are edible or not because that decision
should always be left to the pros.
It's too risky for us to do it ourselves.

Never mind if we can eat them or not,
we enjoyed the stroll in the woods and
finding all the different types of mushrooms.
They were all so unique and beautiful!!

We were kind of crawling on the ground
to find all these treasures,
it was sooooo fun!!

自宅から約1時間ほどの場所にある
ひるがののスキー場へ行ってきました。
夏～秋にかけては、場内が綺麗な花で彩られ、
色々な楽しいアクティビティも行われているんです。

お伝えしたいことは色々あるのですが、
今回お見せしたいのは
そこにある散策コースで見つけたきのこ達！！

食べられるものがこの中にあるのでしょうか。
私たちには全くわかりません。
ただ、とにかくそれぞれがみな違っていて
とても美しくて、少し歩いただけで
こんなに色々な種類のきのこに出会えるなんて
楽しくて楽しくて
地面を這うように歩いてしまいましたよ。
